Cheesy Tofu Bites















 



 Cheesy Tofu Bites

Makes- 4-6 servings

INGREDIENTS:
1 container extra firm tofu
½ cup nutritional yeast
½ cup coconut oil
salt
pepper
garlic powder
honey 



DIRECTIONS:

  1. Take tofu out of package and wrap it in paper towel. Place a heavy jar or something on top of it to help drain extra water from it. 5-10 min or so should be fine.
  2. Cut tofu into 3rds then into 4ths making triangles. Or cut into bite size pieces as desired.
  3. Place ½ cup or more nutritional yeast onto a plate to begin dipping tofu into. Dip both sides and set aside.
  4. On medium heat place coconut oil into a saute pan. Allow coconut oil to melt fully. One by one place tofu into warm coconut oil. Sprinkle with seasonings and drizzle with honey.
  5. Let tofu cook per side about 3-5 min. Using tongs to flip tofu. Tofu should be nice and brown.
  6. Repeat seasonings and honey on other side.
  7. Serve over a bed of rice or noodle with some broccoli.
  8. Eat immediately.
* NOTES- These were so delicious and easy to make. You can serve this as a meal or as an appetizer as well. If your trying tofu for the first time this recipe will surely be a good one to try. Very flavorful and cheesy tasting from the nutritional yeast. It is not active yeast so no worries about getting yeast infections. It has many health benefits to it and is a wonderful cheese supplement for vegan and raw lifestyles.
