Unstuffed Cabbage Saute



 Unstuffed Cabbage Saute


Serves 6 

INGREDIENTS:

2 lb ground beef
½ sweet onion, finely chopped
1 red pepper, finely chopped
1- 14.5 oz can diced tomatoes
1-14.5 oz can tomato sauce
2 cups green cabbage, diced
1 tsp cinnamon
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
dash nutmeg

DIRECTIONS:

  1. In a skillet on medium heat sauté the meat until brown.
  2. Drain any access juice/fat out of pan. Add onion and pepper to pan and sauté about 5 more min or until vegetables are translucent.
  3. Add the remainder of the ingredients, sauce, tomatoes, spices and cabbage and stir. Cook another 5-7 min.
  4. Serve immediately.
